Is Witchbrook crossplay confirmed?

No. Witchbrook crossplay is not confirmed in the official material collected for this page. The game is planned for PC, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and Xbox, and Steam lists online co-op for up to four players. None of those sources says that co-op sessions can mix platforms.

The correct distinction is simple: multiple platforms and online co-op are confirmed, while cross-platform matchmaking is not yet confirmed. A shared release window does not automatically mean crossplay.

What platforms are announced?

The official FAQ names Steam, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and Xbox in the planned platform list. Steam also publishes Windows 10 or later 64-bit system information for the PC version. The FAQ does not provide a confirmed PS5 listing, and the collected materials do not show a final platform-by-platform launch schedule.

The Nintendo announcement trailer contains older timing language, so the current platform list should be read together with the official FAQ and Steam page. Exact release dates for each platform are not yet confirmed.

What co-op information is confirmed?

Steam says up to four players can experience Witchbrook in online co-op. The examples include broom races, spellcraft, exploration, and simply spending time together in Mossport. The cottage blog adds shared furniture editing, individual spaces and gardens, and expanded land for multiplayer cottages.

Those features describe what online friends may do once connected. They do not say whether a PC player can invite a Switch or Xbox player, whether platform accounts need to be linked, or whether saves transfer between platforms. Each of those technical rules is not yet confirmed.

How should players interpret crossplay claims?

Treat a store page that lists “online co-op” as evidence of network play, not crossplay. Treat a video that shows multiple characters as evidence of a multiplayer scene, not proof that those characters use different platforms. Only a direct statement from Chucklefish, a platform feature page, or a launch support document can confirm cross-platform sessions.

The official Discord can be useful for finding future announcements, but community replies are not a substitute for a published crossplay policy. Until the developers clarify the feature, players should choose the platform their group expects to use together.

What remains unknown?

Cross-platform matchmaking, cross-save, account linking, voice chat between platforms, and platform-specific restrictions are all not yet confirmed. The materials also do not confirm local multiplayer, dedicated servers, or a separate console co-op limit. The only firm multiplayer number currently available is the online co-op description of up to four players.
